frances

Your aura is the source of your inner beauty and inner strength. It is the true energetic essence that comprises your non-local body, connects you to all possible past and future selves, and links you to everyone and everything you know and love Pregnant women and people in love are often said to "glow," because their auras are combined with their loved one's and are therefore brighter than most other peoples'. Any time two or more people are brought together in love, the auric effect is extraordinary. The energy of people in love attracts more good situations, people, and things to them, which further enhances the experience of being in love.

The different colours of an aura are created in much the same manner as sounds are created. With sounds, the faster the vibration the higher the frequency of sound, The vibration of a bass note on a piano resonates at a slower rate than the high C note. Similarly, as the waves of energy that make up the aura change their speed of vibration, the colours change.

Two of the most essential elements of life are air and water. We cannot survive very long without either one. Most people do not drink enough water or get enough fresh air. Simply increasing both will boost the overall energy levels. We can also use both air and water in color therapy to assist the body in healing itself of various conditions.

This is particularly useful in a therapy room or bedroon, as pink light has muscle relaxant qualities by increasing the supply of blood to the muscles. Pink contains the stimulating and releasing action of the red ray, although pink has a much gentler action. This warming and loving colour should be used to encourage love and nurturing. Pink light is especially useful when one is feeling lonely, unloved, rejected or grieving. Shone on the heart chakra, it provides healing of the emotions and connects one with universal and unconditional love vibrations. It is a good colour for children too.

Sunshine raises jour spirits and quite literally lights up our lives. But perhaps we take light too much for granted; people are often surprised that it contains a direct and powerful healing agency. That wasn't always so.

Place a seed in the very best of soil or a human being in a palace, shut out the light, and what happens? Without food (in the usual sense of the term) man can live many days; without liquids a much shorter time; but not at all without the atmosphere which surrounds him at all times and to which he pays so little attention.

The Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany was home to many artists whose influence is still felt today in the worlds of art and design. It was there that Itten developed his book, "The Art of Color," which was the definitive compilation of what was taught in the Basic Course which Itten oversaw, at the Bauhaus.

Colour is a series of wavelengths in the visible spectrum that we call light and our bodies use this energy to help maintain a vibrant healthy state. We are attracted to certain colours or indeed repelled by certain shades depending what is happening in our lives on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Learning more about colour energy will help you to know more about yourself and may well surprise you along the way.

Used either to complement or replace traditional needling techniques, practitioners are finding that treatment of acupoints with coloured light adds new dimensions to their work. Light offers a gentle, pain-free, noninvasive therapeutic alternative with no side-effects. Many light therapies may be continued at home by the patient, thereby reducing treatment costs. In addition, light exhibits a unique capacity to effect psychological and spiritual healing while simultaneously supporting physical healing.

Although data are limited, darkness itself appears to organize and stabilize circadian rhythms. Yet insuring complete darkness from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning, as used in several studies thus far, is highly impractical and not accepted by patients. However, recent data on the physiology of human circadian rhythm suggests that “virtual darkness” may be achievable by blocking blue wavelengths of light.
